How to Prepare Your Vehicle for a Mobile Detailing Appointment

How to Prepare Your Vehicle for a Mobile Detailing Appointment

One of the best things about mobile detailing is how little you have to do — we come to you with everything we need. Still, a few minutes of prep on your end helps us work faster and get you the best possible results. Here's a simple checklist to run through before your appointment.

Clear out your personal items

This is the big one. Before we arrive, grab your personal belongings out of the cabin and trunk — sunglasses, phone chargers, garage door remotes, paperwork, car seats if you're able, and anything valuable. We'll clean around what's left, but an empty interior means we can detail every surface thoroughly instead of working around clutter. If you can pop the car seats out, we can get into the spots underneath them that never see daylight.

Pick a good spot to park

We need a bit of room to work all the way around the vehicle, plus space to open the doors fully. A driveway, carport, or flat area near your home is ideal. Shade is a bonus — working out of direct sun helps products perform better, especially on a hot Piedmont afternoon. If you're in an apartment or have tight parking, just let us know ahead of time and we'll figure out the best setup.

Don't worry about water or power

A common question: "Do I need to provide water or electricity?" For most jobs, no — our mobile setup is self-contained and we bring what we need. If your appointment has any special requirements, we'll tell you when you book. That's the whole point of mobile detailing: we bring the shop to you in Pfafftown, Winston-Salem, and everywhere in between.

Point out problem areas

When we arrive, take thirty seconds to walk us through anything specific — a stubborn stain, a scuff you're worried about, a smell you want gone, or an area you use hardest. The more we know about how you use the vehicle, the better we can tailor the detail to what matters to you. We'll always give you an honest read on what we can and can't fully fix based on the vehicle's condition.

Know what to expect

Detailing takes time to do right — anywhere from a couple hours for a refresh to most of a day for a full detail or ceramic work. If it helps to know exactly what's happening during that time, our full detail breakdown walks through each step. And if we're doing any paint decontamination, you might find what a clay bar treatment does interesting too.

Ready to book?

That's really all there is to it — clear it out, park it well, and point out the trouble spots. Book your appointment online or call or text (336) 488-7225, and we'll bring the detail shop to your driveway.
